Wasting Time

What is the point of 25NL?

I am too tired to get in-depth with my thoughts on the subject of 25NL but I will mention a couple of things. The players at 25nl and 50nl are probably about the same, in my opinion.

I do think there are a good amount of 25NL regulars who are much better than most of those at 50NL. The reason I think they are better is there ability to minimize post flop mistakes. This may not be a skill or a talent possessed by these players but the simple fact that it is harder to make mistakes with less money.

In all my experiences at 50NL, I have noticed the problems that many of the players at .25/.50 NL level (probably under rolled, inexperienced, and ignorant to the physics of poker) who bleed because of postflop situations they become involved in. Over playing draws and 1-pair hands obviously will cost more to the player at 50NL than it will to the 25NL regular.

Granted, that the same mistakes can be made at all levels. I do not believe that the caliber of player at 50NL is enough for someone who is slightly (15-20 BI using a 40BI floor) under rolled is enough to stop me from taking my game to the next level.

Of course, I will drop down to 25NL if need be but I believe I can achieve more success at a level I feel more comfortable playing at. Jared got his start on his last roll by depositing $200 and playing .25/.50 NL- Well, I have more than $200.

Party Time.
